Kate's Birthday

With Nick's birthday on the 7th and Kate's on the 11th, we've had a lot of cake around here. We had two cakes for each of them, since we sang to them early when all of Ken's family was in town for a reunion. Kate got a doll and a stroller that she loves to push around. We tried to teach her to put up two fingers and say how old she is, but she keeps holding up three and saying "one". I guess they average out. We are appreciating our cute little Kate and wishing she wouldn't grow up so fast, since she is our last. She is the perfect ending to our family.

Nick's Birthday

Nick got a spiderman costume for his birthday and he loves it. It was so funny to watch him lift his mask to blow out his candles. The candle situation was interesting. We had three candles and a "3" candle, so we used that a one of the 3 regular ones. I'm not going to assume I have candles anymore. :) I'll check. Nick is so excited to be 4. He insisted that he grew bigger on his
birthday.

Jumping on the blog bandwagon

I've had "create a blog" on my to do list for almost a year. I can check it off my list! Here's a brief discription of our lives as I start this blog. We have lived in 9 different houses in California, Utah and Arizona and we are currently settled in Lincoln, CA. We just set a record for staying in the same place for the longest time- 2 years, 4 months. Ken is working for PCI Group (computer software support) and loves it. We have 4 kids- Elizabeth (8), Natalie (5), Nick (4), and Kate (2). I taught Elizabeth at home last year and we'll do it again this year for 3rd grade. Natalie starts Kindergarten at Twelve Bridges Elementary School and Nick starts preschool next month. I'm a scout den leader and Ken is the ward clerk at church. Life is good. :)
