50th Anniversary
Ken's parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 5th. We surprised them at the temple and did sealings with them, which was so neat. After the temple, we went with them to their favorite restaurant, El Novillero.
The next day, we all went to Old Sacramento for Gold Rush Days. Here we all are waiting for a gunfight show to start. We panned for gold, watched the Mormon Battalion group shoot off a cannon, made old fashioned dolls and much more. That night, we had a pizza party and watched a slideshow that Ken made of their 50 years together. We ended the weekend with Burritos on Sunday. Hodgsons know how to celebrate. :)

Triathlon
Camille did it and so did my friends Anita Stewart, Haley Browning, Tiffany Pixton, Marie Zambrana in this picture. My friends Becca Brandi and Kathryn Moore had already started in the 20-29 year old group. It was fun to do it with so many friends. We had fun training together.
I finished my swim in just under 10 minutes (which was my goal). I'm a swimmer!
I borrowed my neighbor Dave Pickett's road bike because it is faster than mine. It has bright orange handlebars, but it's a fast bike. It helped me do 8 miles in about 26 1/2 minutes, at least 5 minutes faster than I could do that distance on my bike.
Triathlon pt 2
6 of the 8 of us in this picture play volleyball on Wednesday nights. Kathryn inspired us all to do it. I had been wanting to for years! Marie Zambrana, Haley Browning, Becca Brandi, Anita Stewart, Wendy Overbay (she came in 10 seconds behind me!), Tiffany Pixton, Kathryn Moore and me.
I was eating my lunch pretty far away from the awards podium when I heard them call my name. I couldn't believe it! I had no idea that I had placed! I got 3rd place in my division (30-39 year old women- there were 39 of us in this age group). What a fun surprise!
Right after I sat back down to finish my lunch, my friend Tiffany's husband found a 4 leaf clover. It was a lucky day for me, so I took a picture of my award with the clover. I loved the whole experience! This will not be my last triathlon!

Alzheimer's 5K
Camille and I ran the Alzheimer's Aid Society 5K at East Lawn Mortuary again this year and my friend Tiffany Pixton joined us. This was her first race. Camille and I ran together and we passed my ex-boyfriend Ryan, but we never passed her ex-boyfriend Bryan. Tee hee. Camille wasn't feeling well, but she still did it in under 30 minutes. Yeah, Camille!
